This print is often compared with "Snow at Night" in Kambara. Here in Kameyama, a quiet landscape after a snowfall is depicted. It presents a superb contrast with "Snow at Night" - between morning and night, i.e., between the positive and the negative. From Kameyama Castle, perched atop its high stone walls, several ridges slope steeply down to a cluster of houses below. A daimyo procession can be seen going up a slope beyond some old pine trees that jut out into the sky. Everything sparkles in the dazzling virgin snow, and the morning glow seen over the brow of the mountain is refreshing and beautiful
