Kuwana is seven ri (about 27.5 km) from Miya. The province of Ise can be reached by sea from here. A landing place is provided under the stone walls of Kuwana Castle near the mouth of the Ibi River. Two boats are about to make port against a backdrop of a bright sky and clear, blue sea. The boats entering port in the foreground bob on the waves with their sails lowered, though all appears to be calm far offshore.
